English lyrics
I thought that I left behind
Our memories in the past
Like the time we drank all night
with friends one starry night
I still remember
everything about you
Now there was a time I believed
You were the grace I found
But all too soon
I found myself alone again
Wishing you were here
There’s just one thing I ask of you
this one thing
Please don’t forget that
I was there by your side
In case one fateful day
I see your face
I dress my best each day as
I step outside my door
I still care for you
that will never change
I’m sure you’re doing fine
but I’ll always pray for you
Promise me
though you may have someone new
Please remember that I
I was there by your side
You made me smile with ease
One look was all it took
So safe it felt to be with you
a home I found
Before you drifted away
There’s just one thing I ask of you
this one thing
Please don’t forget that
I was there by your side
In case one fateful day
I see your face
I dress my best each day as
I step outside my door
I still care for you
that will never change
I’m sure you’re doing fine
but I’ll always pray for you
Promise me
though you may have someone new
Please remember that I
I was there by your side
